Speech-Language Therapy Services
Comprehensive Speech and Language Evaluations
We perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine whether or not your child presents with a communication disorder and if he/she may benefit from speech-language therapy. Evaluations may consist of standardized testing, performance-based assessments, speech and language samples, checklists/rating scales, parent/teacher reports, and observations. Families are provided with a written report explaining the testing procedures, results, and recommendations once the evaluation is completed.
Individual Speech-Language Therapy
We provide individual speech-language therapy sessions for your child after performing a comprehensive speech and language evaluation. Treatment goals and therapy sessions are individualized to address your child's specific areas of need. Parent education and regular home practice are integral components of therapy at Del Sur Speech Therapy. We want to help you help your child succeed! If a recent evaluation has been completed within approximately 6 months through another agency, further testing may not be necessary with Del Sur Speech Therapy. If your child has a current Individualized Education Program (IEP) from a local school district, we are happy to help supplement those services outside of school. Individual therapy sessions are 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes in length, dependent on your child's needs.
San Diego Regional Center Early Intervention Services
Del Sur Speech Therapy is a vendor with the San Diego Regional Center. We can provide early intervention speech-language evaluation and therapy services for children from 18 months to three years of age in their homes and/or daycare settings. Contact us to find out more!
Preschool Screenings
A screening provides a quick snapshot of your child's communication skills, including articulation, language (expressive, receptive, and pragmatics), fluency, and vocal quality. We provide screening services to local preschools and early childhood programs. Any concerns noted during a screening can be fully assessed through a comprehensive speech and language evaluation.
Flexible Service Locations
We provide our evaluation and individual therapy sessions in the convenience of your own home or at your child's school (if school policies allow). We are flexible to make speech therapy work for your family's busy schedule.
